Hatha Yoga

The most popular yoga in the West, Hatha is translated as ha meaning sun, and tha meaning moon. This refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun— and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon— within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites.

Hatha yoga is a holistic path of wellness that includes the performance of various physical postures (held for 4-6 yogic breaths), mudras (hand gestures), breath-work (pranayama), and restful meditation. These combined techniques powerfully release tension from the body and mind.

A great class for everyone!

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a quiet practice consisting of primarily floor-based postures that are held for three to five minutes. Yin yoga targets the body’s connective tissue, particularly addressing the mobility and health of the hips, pelvis, and spine. All poses are performed with a focus on the breath to release resistance and activate the flow of prana through the core of the body.

Great for beginners and those looking for more flexibility in their legs and hips.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a deeply restful practice in which the body is fully supported by bolsters, blankets, straps, and/or blocks. Long holds of these gently held postures provide the opportunity for muscles to melt and the mind to release.

Great for students who are stressed, recovering from an illness or injury, or who seek to regain their quality of life. Highly recommended for beginners!

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa is Sanskrit for a flowing sequence. Vinyasa Flow yoga is a rigorous practice where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while syncing their breath with movements. This practice incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio, and physical and mental stamina together in one dynamic and invigorating session. Vinyasa yoga is based around sun salutations, providing you with a rewarding and meaningful hour on your mat.

A great class for everyone!

Veterans Yoga

Based on the Hatha yoga practice, this is a FREE, weekly class open to all military veterans and active-duty members. Significant others are invited and encouraged to join the class for a $5 drop-in. Practice in the comfort of a safe, supportive community of like minds.

A great class for active-duty or veterans and families!

Meditation

Meditation is a science, as when its techniques are facilitated with precision and care, results are produced consistently. Meditation offers countless benefits and plays a crucial role in the development of higher levels of awareness; the ability to see things clearly. It is a practice that is necessary for spiritual evolution and leads the adept to direct communication with spirit.

A great class for everyone!
